South London’s rex is stating her claim on the pop world with her debut single, ‘Bad Influence’.
Jumping across a tight rope of guitar strings, the track is coloured by rex’s light, heady vocals, delicious bass and percussion that bounces around like the ignition of synapses of desire. Tackling the blurred line between love and lust, the track is a distillation of that very confusion but lit with upbeat sunshine.
With a couplet of tracks left to be released before the end of the year, it seems like rex will be making more appearances in our playlists of choice for some time to come.
