WELSH POWER-POP BAND TWIN STRANGERS ARE BACK WITH A BRAND NEW SINGLE 'WHITE'
“Welsh powerpop band Twin Strangers are back with a brand new single White”
Welsh powerpop band Twin Strangers are back with a brand new single White, following previous bangers Crushed and Tears of Joy. The five mix influences from gritty 90s rock like Sonic Youth with light, melodious tunes from 70s artists like Big Star: a blend that works very nicely. Like its predecessors, this single has a ridiculously catchy melody, flowing on a luscious guitar rhythm and is sprinkled with danceable, uplifting synth. Subtle as they are, the synths are an excellent addition to the song, providing a more palatable and tunefulness to their indie-rock sound. Despite its lyrics about a night out that has escalated out of control, White is a mostly feel-good song that will put you in a mood to go see the band live in a sweat induced grass-routes venue. It’s only their third single, but the group sounds as comfortable and experienced as a band who’s been around for years.
