The Frankfurt-based four-piece seem to have somewhat mastered the method of creating the ultimate Indie Rock track, despite their relatively recent venture onto the music scene. They take a formulaic approach to music-making, marrying rhythmic, yet sketchy drums, with a very present and uplifting guitar riff, a commanding bassline and that all-important and incredibly catchy melody, to create a rousing Indie Rock masterpiece. ’Home’ was intended to act as an empowerment anthem for those of us in need of that extra boost to push out of our comfort zones, venture into the world and find our true calling and our true ‘Home’ on the path to self-discovery. This can be felt in the almost euphoric eruption of the track in its final chorus, as it reaches a crescendo of soaring guitars and passionately delivered vocals, that envelop the listener into a feeling of exhilaration and optimism.
