Embark on a journey of self-discovery with Saint Samuel’s debut EP.

“With such a wide variety of musical styles and a narrative approach to lyricism, everyone is bound to find something of themselves in Saint Samuel’s music.”

Embark on a journey of self-discovery with Saint Samuel’s debut EP.

Previously known as Sam McCoig, Saint Samuel is an emerging Virginia-based genre-defying artist. Throughout the pandemic, Saint Samuel has been hard at work writing his eponymous debut EP and rediscovering himself as an artist. Unable to get to the studio, he was forced to rely exclusively on himself and his own environment, resulting in a very personal and congruent musical output.

From the quintessentially pop sound of “Next to Me”, to the folk influenced “Yabomm” and the swooning ballad “Call Out My Name”, Saint Samuel plays with a range of genres, tailoring them to his own individual sound. As the EP progresses, the listener is taken on a journey through the artist’s mental landscape and personal experiences. With the help of the confessional tracks such as “Night Drive” and the almost spoken-word “Friends” we develop a sense of kinship with Saint Samuel, recognising our own fears and joys in his lyrics.

With such a wide variety of musical styles and a narrative approach to lyricism, everyone is bound to find something of themselves in Saint Samuel’s music.
