Punk rock may have been on a brief hiatus, but Birmingham based band The Silver Lines are making sure it is placed at the forefront of British music once more. The Silver Lines have released their new single ‘Skin’, and this is just scratching the surface of where they’re at.

Fuelled by a bass hyperventilating amongst a deep undergrove of furious guitar and lyrics desperately resisting temptation, the track in its entirety is agonisingly short. Contrasting a fierce tempo with the blissfully slow howl of “breathe”, the band makes sure that the call to action cannot be rushed over and forgotten.
