“Inside Out is the sound of a band coming into their own – ready to take over the world with their boundless energy and buckets of infectious charm. ”

The New Twentys debut their dazzling indie-pop EP Inside Out.

Indie-pop three piece The New Twentys are on the rise. Formed when brothers Harry and Jimmy Morris met bassist Chris Bourne, the trio embarked on a musical journey that landed them on the waves of BBC 6 Radio, Radio X and BBC Introducing Essex, as well as earning them supporting sports for legends such as Primal Scream, Fat White Family, Scouting for Girls and McFly. Their debut EP, Inside Out, capitalises on this early success, capturing the band’s hook-driven melodies, quirky lyrics and unstoppable energy.

Recorded in Cornwell “on a £120 interface” amid total isolation, Inside Out is a true labour of love. From the punchy drums of ‘I Never’ to the sparkling synths of ‘You Got Me Good’, the EP uses the DIY ethos to construct memorable and sunny sounds that boast a distinct character, rather than relying on studio perfection. There is a palpable sense of fun running through these songs, whether it’s the hints of 80s stadium rock in the titular tracks or the bubble-gum exuberance of ‘Wasp’. As the band sing of falling in love, experience heartache and feeling out of place, we feel a shared sense of kinship, ready to sing along to the rousing choruses.

Inside Out is the sound of a band coming into their own – ready to take over the world with their boundless energy and buckets of infectious charm.
