Questioning musical integrity in the social media age, The Running Free release explosive rock single ‘Chimes’

Loud, boisterous and unapologetic, ‘Chimes’ isn’t afraid to take up space. Utilizing an army of electric guitars amidst ear-splitting percussion, the track opens with full energy. Frontman Dave Norris sustains the track vocally with an immediately-accessible hook that repeats over gradually building instrumental crescendos, breaking occasionally for riffs that triumphantly showcase the immense talents of the wider collective. At its core, the track is a meta consideration of the music industry, exploring the “struggle you can face as an artist … it’s about trying to stay true to your own artistic vision and not getting lost in what it popular”. There’s no doubt The Running Free march to the beat of their own drum, and it’s a musical approach which more than pays off.

Telling their own stories in their own way, The Running Free celebrate authenticity with ‘Chimes’.
