THE THING WITH FEATHERS ARE BACK WITH EUPHORIC NEW RELEASE ‘MIDWEST DAYDREAMS’
Back again with new release ‘Midwest Daydreams’, this euphoric flare of a tune sees The Thing With Feathers conquering the curse of Icarus by flying triumphantly close to the Sun.
While melancholic in lyrical nature, the silky vocals, iridescent guitar and celebratory drums force all who listen to sway along. Fizzling with the lamentation of a partners indecisiveness, this is an anti-ballad of epic proportions. Shooting off spikes of emotional frustration equally within the composed verses and unrelenting chorus. Calming itself for a bridge where the bass becomes the very heartbeat of the song, it’s not long before The Thing With Feathers falls back into the harmonised agitation of a final, increasingly textured chorus. While the Nashville band are tired of this song's conversation, I don't think it's possible to ever tire from this track.
