Hazy and psychedelic, Yellow Trash Can release nostalgic 90s throwback with ‘Talk Nice To Me’

“This bop is for the modern beach-heads… Doesn’t that sound Tubular, dude?” Say hello to Yellow Trash Can, the psychedelic lovechild of multi-instrumentalist Jason Navarette and songwriter Jitta On The Track. Borne from scandal (in which the pair were hired for the original Yellow Trash Can to produce music and print merch, only for the band to try and run off with $5,000 worth of clothing and eight unfinished records), the duo decided to take over the company’s name and release music of their own. Dealing in “nostalgia-driven vibes”, Yellow Trash Can excels in 90s basslines and laid-back instrumentals. ‘Talk Nice To Me’ is as mellow as it is palatable, relishing in the familiarity of old-school pop hooks whilst offering a contemporary twist through layered – and exceptionally polished - mastering.

‘Talk Nice To Me’ transcends musical genres in a hallucinogenic trip down memory lane.
