Scotland’s Primes ‘Redesign’ the sound of classic pop-rock.

“Rife with palpably feel-good energy and an infectious sense of fun, ‘Redesign’ is a track that can singlehandedly brighten your day.”

Scotland’s Primes ‘Redesign’ the sound of classic pop-rock.

Having grown up in the same small town outside of Glasgow, Primes came together through their shared love of live music and performing. Since their formation in 2017, Ollie, Sarah and Reece have gone on to play multiple festivals across Scotland and release 10 singles, gaining the attention of BBC Introducing, Amazing Radio and Spotify’s editorial team. Combining the sound of old-school favourites like Nirvana, The Rolling Stones and Foo Fighters with a modern attitude to melody, Primes are ready to seize the day.

There is something nostalgic about ‘Redesign’. Reminiscent of pop-punk’s raucous glory days, this track upgrades the angsty melodies of Linkin Park and Blink 182, stripping back the distortions and replacing it with a pop-y catchiness. Upbeat, punchy drums command movement, while the energetic guitar hooks usher in a timeless feel. The anthemic choruses are a definite stand out; euphoric in their rousing harmonies, they are the pivoting point of the whole track, delighting us with each new rendition.

Rife with palpably feel-good energy and an infectious sense of fun, ‘Redesign’ is a track that can singlehandedly brighten your day.
