This year has been full of highs and lows but the thing that has kept our spirits high is the incredible talent that have pushed through turbulent times to release music that has filled us and many others with bliss. So to end the year on a positive note here is our list of the favourite releases of 2020.

The first single from Lloren’s debut EP, ‘Lovesick’ is a low-thundering wide-scape pop song, full of stark grandeur and edgy angst.  Having gained a following after her success on The Voice in 2018, Lloren has finally found her footing sound-wise, combining her velvety vocals and restrained power with storytelling lyrics, and a deceptively simple instrumental arrangement.

With smooth as honey vocals and an unwaveringly cool sound, Luke Royalty and Sweets’ latest single ‘I Could Get Used to This’ will transport you to a musical nirvana. The song is an exuberant and carefree rendering of the joy both artists found in creating and producing music together having left home for the first time.

You may remember Ryan Nealon from the infectious Ready to Love Again. His new single: Paper Town, is a soft ballad and shows Nealon’s more vulnerable and emotional side. Nealon’s effective use of his falsetto voice and the stirring, melodramatic sounding chorus is reminiscent of singers like Daniel Bedingfield.
