Atone for your sins with The Very Reverend’s newest track “HOLYGHOST”.

The Very Reverend is not afraid to peer straight into darkness. Having released his single “BELLADONNA” earlier on in the year, the west-coast alt-rocker Justin Chamberlain aka The Very Reverend is back with a worthy follow up, “HOLYGHOST”. A distorted, reverberating nightscape dripping with a snarky rock-attitude, this track peels back the layers of who we really are under our shinny façade, celebrating the imperfections and rejecting the false gods of vanity.

A darkly vigorous track, “HOLYGHOST” is rife with religious imagery, scratchy synths and a defiant, marching beat. With moments of stillness alternating with punchy drums and swelling guitars, it aims to provoke and subvert – shaking us out of our everyday stopper. Chamberlain’s vocals are raspy and seductive with their raw energy, going from a whisper to a howl in seconds. With each verse, the track swells into greater proportions, becoming almost gargantuan at its peaks as the distorted guitar soars to new heights and shatters the glass ceiling of respectability.

Full of striking imagery, nightmarish vibes and raw truths that emerge from the mire of pretence, “HOLYGHOST” is an unabashedly bold piece of song-writing.
