Unleash your inner introvert with Fauna’s new release, “Didn’t Wanna”.
Fauna are the types of guys you wish you could be friends with. With their laidback, outspoken attitude, 70’s rock-influenced sound and a firm commitment to keep on “just vibing” and “trying to avoid the day job”, these Manchurians are both incredibly relatable and enormously cool. Did I mention that they brew their own beer? Yeah, it’s called “Didn’t Wanna IPA” in honour of their latest single, “Didn’t Wanna”, and in remembrance of all those times during lockdown when we couldn’t grab a pint at the pub. Don’t worry, they will share some with you too, just shoot them a message and enjoy their music with a cold one in your hand.
Opening with choppy guitars and pounding drums, “Didn’t Wanna” is an upbeat track for all of your downbeat times; like when a party doesn’t live up to your expectations and you end up wishing you were somewhere else. An energetic and rousing tune, it has the sounds of classic alt-rock of the 00’s (think Kings of Leon and The Killers), while the zany lyrics teem with goofy wit, echoing all of your introverted frustrations.
