Burning with afterglow, Josh Savage’s “Young Fools” is an ode to all things young, foolish and in love.

The Berlin-based, France-raised, UK songwriter Josh Savage has been trotting the world, playing over 700 shows across 4 continents for an audience so astoundingly varied that it includes Dubai’s Royal Family. Pretty busy, right? Sadly, this tenacity and complete dedication to his craft left Josh with very little time to himself, or to his personal relationships, until one day this finally changed – in Paris.

Sumptuous and optimistic, ‘Zebra’ explores social media through the wooziness of soft-indie.

There is a richness to Cal in Red (otherwise known as Connor and Kendall Wright): a strong musical identity no doubt found in the familiarity of brotherhood. It makes for a promising EP, with the imminent release of their debut record close on the horizon. ‘Zebra’ – its first single – takes inspiration from the social pitfalls of the social media generation, where digital gratification replaces authentic connection. “Sure a Zebra is unique”, says Kendall, “but guess what, there are fields and fields full of Zebras out there”. Instead, Zebra celebrates the little victories and finds gloriousness in the everyday: we are enough as we are.

Blowing a gale into the world of alt-rock, Lombardy are back with their riotous new single, ‘Hurricane’. (Single Premiere)

As only the third release from this Nashville based four-piece, this track sees them gain new strength through an intoxicating whirlwind of sound. A tornado with a dizzy guitar sitting at its centre, the track soon becomes a rage against nature, love and all things in between.

Angsty, ballsy and empowering- TASH’s latest single ‘Chase’ is a modern rock ode to shaking off our demons and embracing our true selves.

The track bears TASH’s trademark jagged guitar hooks and percussion with attitude, whilst threading a deeper and more poignant lyrical thread. Opening with an almost dystopian ticking of sound, it’s not long before TASH ‘unleash the beast’ and launch into a punchy and no-nonsense track that doesn’t let up. Lyrically, the band profess the power we can find in our inner struggles; although there may be some comfort in the familiarity of dark places and demons, there is a fight in everyone strong enough to break away and tackle life on your own terms.

Family-unit Ruthee release soulful ballad with their second track ‘Drag’.

There’s something exciting about unexplored avenues of creativity: not knowing where to go next, or even what it might look like. This is certainly true for Ruthee, who are excitingly blunt about the journey to finding their niche. ‘Ruth’ is their second track on this musical self-discovery, and marks an impressively atmospheric sound for a band who only started releasing music this year. Borne of an abusive relationship, ‘Drag’ refers to the controlling guidance of a toxic lover. “Keep what’s fragile on a tight leash” sings Olivia Gomez, underscored by the roomy instrumentals of husband Nicolas, and his brother Ben.

Olivia Wendel perfectly articulates how humans have the capability to heal themselves in new single ‘Skipping Stones’

Just like the way in which nature has a way of healing itself after destruction, Olivia Wendel perfectly depicts that humans too have the same capacity to do so as well in her new single ‘Skipping Stones’.O livia gained the idea for her new album whilst out walking in the woods, startled by the prospect of a fallen tree in the woods alluding to the age old “if a tree falls in a forest”. As a result of this fallen tree, the album, and her new track all revolve around how nature and humans alike have the ability to repair themselves.

Twin Stranger are back to wake you from your slumber with their new release, ‘Early Dreamer’.

Following on from the band’s previous trio of singles, this track is expansive. Slowly overtaking your body with a wash of guitars and swirling synths, it's an indie orchestra of hopelessness led by the rough, Americanised vocals of Welsh-born Alex McConnachie. A cathartic ballad dedicated to the daily grind, it blossoms into a bridge of glorious harmonies and jangling keys.

Jupiter Avenue releases their first explosive single of the year, ‘Disfunction’.

As a four-piece who first played live at a food truck rodeo, the band continue to harness the energy of hungry crowds to create spirals of bass-driven sound. Treading somewhere sonically between Circa Waves and Peach Pit, this, their follow up to a self-titled debut album, explores a more polished and direct sound. One that rattles through your bones with a typhoon of riffs and dark lyrics.
