Need a pick-me-up? John Jin Han’s latest fun-filled release ‘Find My Own Way’ hits the spot.

Sometimes we all need a little bit of a pick-me-up, and John Jin Han’s latest fun-filled release ‘Find My Own Way’ hits the spot.  Joined by three bandmates— Dani Lyra (vocals), Benja Schick (drums) and Asa Stern (guitar)— John Jin Han fuses bouncy instrumentals with clean, charismatic vocals. And with the likes of COIN and The 1975 cited as influences, the foursome confidently fill the dreamy indie-pop mould. In true feel-good indie style, ‘Find My Own Way’ is crammed with catchy choruses, larger-than-life hooks and euphoric, synth-drenched riffs. Packed out with carefree alt-pop charm, the track deftly deals with a slightly less euphoric subject matter.

Lorensa’s latest single ‘Birthday’ is a present from the pop and R&B gods.

Commiserating the ceremony of ageing in the most beautiful way, Lorensa’s latest single ‘Birthday’ is a present from the pop and R&B gods. Recorded from the rooms of Killer Instinct Studio in L.A., this track is sweet honey and we, the listeners, are the bees. Echoing elements of Ariana Grande, it poses the question- what really distinguishes a birthday from any other day? A hive of relaxed excitement built upon underground beats, rising synths and golden vocals, Lorensa reaches her peak in the bridge’s intoxicating bout of self-questioning.

Rosella’s are back to heal old wounds with new single, ‘Damaged’.As a fan favourite from the gigs of distant past, this track is alive. Head buzzing and body moving, Koalra’a latest single ‘Water’s Push’ is enchanted with the power of the ocean.

Head buzzing and body moving, Koalra’a latest single ‘Water’s Push’ is enchanted with the power of the ocean. Born from the punk noise scene of Chicago, this four-piece band have locked the sound of the surf deep within their music. Moving unexplainably under the power of its ringing guitar, this track is a wash of buzzing bass and gritty vocals. Rising and falling in an attempt to reach the shore, it finally reaches its menacing destination. Taking you into a subaltern world of drowning guitar, crashing drums and stormy bass for its final few moments.

Jax Beats’ latest single ‘Carpe Diem’ is the only track you need to shake the New Years Blues.

Lulling you into living in the moment through the Gully’s honey-soaked lyrics, this is a tonic to the anxiety of 2020. It’s an ode to love coddled within a blanket for smouldering guitar, soft synths and timid trumpets which only rear their head upon Gully’s vocal nod. Often feeling like a caramel latte in music form, this addictively sweet track will leave you yearning for another caffeinated collection of beats from both these Bath-based musicians.

Alice Pisano explores an untouched landscape of electronic pop in her latest single ‘Crush’.

Kicking off the year with a new sonic chapter, Alice Pisano explores an untouched landscape of electronic pop in her latest single ‘Crush’. Leaning into the energy organically found within a lovestruck heart, this Italian born, London-based pop artist is fighting her way out of deep lovesickness through an arsenal of silky vocals, passionate guitar and waves of percussion which race to the shore. Sean Davidson’s sweet melodies are touching more than just those who listen.

Ever since high school, Sean Davidson has been filling the pages of notebooks with poetic prose, allowing a lucky few to touch the world through music. The latest track to be lifted off these pages comes with the titles ‘Comatose’. Hazy in the most wonderful way, this lo-fi song is born from a life of longing. Formed through floating vocals, heartbeats of soft percussion and delicate keys, it infiltrates the airwaves with the sense of an impending sunset for an agonisingly short time. Existing only for 3-minutes before disappearing like a dream.

WAX WORKS joins with singer Mollie Coddled to transport you into an alternate indie world.

Dreaming of galaxies far beyond their own walls, WAX WORKS joins with singer Mollie Coddled to transport you into an alternate indie world. Mimicking the track’s movement through the airwaves, ‘Sleeping in the Dark’ will not let you rest as it permanently infects your mind with its lyrical fuel, flares of guitar, starlit synths and black holes of bass. A duet to rival Wallows’ ‘Are You Bored Yet?’, this song shines through the contradiction between WAX WORK’s deep and Mollie Coddled’s breezy, Lily Allen-esque tone.
