Mancunian rock group No Vacancies purge their vexes with cathartic anthem ‘Bad Habits’
Borne from the longing feeling of wanting – but being unable to – spend time with someone, there’s a degree of frustration to No Vacancies’ latest single. Luckily for us, this frustration is expressed through the glorious cacophony of old-school rock’n’roll. Cymbals collide furiously with battered drums and electric guitars in a fit of incredible rage. ‘Bad Habits’ is, in their own words, “a contender of one of our best songs”, and it’s easy to see why.
Mosiah Levi returns with melancholy track ‘Rest’, an apathetic look at the risks of finding love
The ultimate in rainy-day soundtracks, Mosiah Levi once again soothes our souls with woozy track ‘Rest’. It’s about his apathy for love, “both wanting it but also not wanting to go through any more pain”. He’s joined by the equally talented BaggE, a self-proclaimed Neo Songstress from North London.
XOXO are back and skipping on the clouds of summer with their new single, ‘Weekends’
Led by rich guitars which are like iced coffee for the senses, this four-piece band will have you dreaming of unplanned weekends of freedom. Packed with so much energy that it makes your fingers ache just by listening, the track is unrelenting in its goal to get you moving.
Parker Graye is bringing you some much needed bittersweet melancholy this summer in her latest single, 'Last Time'.
On a self-proclaimed mission to make country music sad again, this musical tour through landmarks of relationships past is utterly captivating. Rolling along roads paved with soft keys past peaks of delicate synths, Graye shines a light on all that she once shared with another.
Bailey Tomkinson makes the leaders at the G6 summit accountable for their environmental sins.
Entitled ‘Bright Red’ this symbol of irony is enchanting. Calling out the ironic “men from the city” who destroyed parts of St Ives (wherein 1 in 3 children are born in poverty) while discussing global sustainable practices, she distances herself from the revolutionary lyrics with enigmatic staccato riffs.
Rory and the Reverie fall in love with a calmer life in their new single, ‘Herbal Tea’.
Brewing in your mind through a bath of steaming riffs and honeyed vocals, this Sydney-based singer and producer rises into your heart like steam dissipating into the air. Featuring the sound of a K-mart kettle within its complex layers, Rory cocoons you in a soundscape safety.
Dom Malin allows you to tune into the intimate conversations of the heart in his new single, ‘Yesterday’s Love’.
Providing you with a sense of closure you never thought you needed, it's all paying off for this Midlands-based artist who has crafted his life around music. From studying to teaching, Dom has developed vibrant folk sensibilities far beyond that of a musician who has only been releasing music for a year. An emotive storm made by reverberating guitar, the track stretches its arms wide. Welcoming you to share in its melancholy.
Matt Chibbs brings you back to life through a paradise of alternative pop in latest single, ‘Elixir’.
Jumping from genre to genre, this heavy hitter uses delicate production to have you raging against your endorphins. Pairing verses of slick rap with breathy choruses of magical bliss, the two opposites collide to form an ecstatic concoction. Blending together, they cancel themselves out to leave just a final sample of distant chatter and panpipes.
The Bigger Picture takes you into a ricocheting landscape of war in their riotous new single, ‘Bullet Little Thoughts’.
Located within a cavern of rock and pop-punk, this track etches a personal battlefield into the airwaves. Decisive and commanding in its sound, its lyrical cries fights against unrelenting guitars which speed through your mind. Burning fast and bright before fading into a brief respite and one final battle of a chorus.
Dive down into the sleepy psychedelia of Point Lobo’s “Helen’s Song”.
Point Lobo’s Miles Senzaki is a man of many talents. When he is not drumming for The Pharcyde or composing for the hit podcast “The End Of The World with Josh Clark (of Stuff You Should Know)” as well as for a score of other projects, he makes dreamy digital art that is the perfect visualisation of his lo-fi blend of synthpop/post-punk music. “Helen’s Song” is the second single off his upcoming EP “Tacoma Narrows” and is accompanied by a dreamy, anime-inspired video that will hypnotise you like a hypnogogic TV screen.
Throw up your hands and dance along to Sam and Sound’s upbeat banger “Does It Matter?”.
From humble beginnings as a busker on the streets of Tunbridge Wells and Crawley, to the unexpected rise through the iTunes Pop charts, Sam and Sounds consistently delivers a bubbly indie sound that would spark joy even in the most committed misanthrope. His rise is no fluke – with each new single, Sam continues to gain a steady stream of listeners across a variety of platforms, reaching over 150k+ monthly Spotify listeners and over 2.8 million streams.
Turn back time with An Hour a Minute’s wistful track “Never Know”.
Toronto-based synth-pop duo An Hour a Minute create nostalgic, 80s fuelled music that will have you longing for something you never knew you were missing. Darko and George began making music when they were only in high school and have since been working on songs old and new, saturating them with their electrifying sonic style. Their sound intermixes modern freshness with retro sensibilities – like a less cheesy and stripped down version of Japanese City Pop or Future Funk.

Don’t be “Cruel” and tune in to ROE’s invigorating new track.
ROE is a force to be reckoned with; despite the turbulence of 2020, ROE not only racked up over a million Spotify streams of her EP ‘Thing We Don’t Talk About’ but continued to expand her already eclectic sound. Her newest track – “Cruel” – moves away from hip-hop and pop sound of her earlier work, embracing pop-punk roughness that nevertheless enhances her charm and vitality.
Look back into darkness with Kyler Slater’s stirring track “Dysmorphia”.
Kyler Slater is no stranger to darkness. Having left home at the age of 14 to escape the drug culture that surrounded him, he learnt to use music both as a means for survival and as a form of self-expression in an otherwise stifling environment. Now based in Los Angeles, Slater is committed to producing music that is authentic and highly emotive as well as technically entertaining.
